Only in My Dreams
If
I want
To simply gaze
Upon his smiling face,
Its only in my dreams
If I yearn
By him to sit
And have a little chat,
Its only in my dreams
If I desire
To enjoy the scent
Of his lingering cologne,
Its only in my dreams
If I wish
To listen to
His contagious laugh,
Its only in my dreams
If Id like
To wrap up in
One last warm embrace;
Its only in my dreams
So if I covet
Or sound too sad,
Please dont judge
Too harshly,
Because, you see,
I miss my dad,
Ever since we lost him.
