12/22/2006 - Front Brakes Take II - Export Brace - Rack and Pinion

Purchased a new seal and did it right this time. Now the passenger side front brakes are together.

Nothing trick, just solid new components, slotted rotors and braided brake lines.

Having tried an original EFI based export brace and being disappointed, I decided to use some of the pipe from the GoMo project to fab up my own version. I like the look of the bigger 1 1/8" pipe better too.

This is just the export brace. I am re-using the original mounting plates for the shock tower tops. I haven't decided it I'll weld up the monte carlo bar or make it removable using heims and pins yet.

The UniSteer rack and pinion arrived and I couldn't resist at least mocking it up and looking at how things will fit/work.

It's pretty obvious that my existing long tube Headman Headers are not going to work so I guess I'll be looking for new ones.
